Overview

What Glacier Treks & Adventure came to us with

Glacier Treks & Adventure runs guided treks across Sikkim. Their old site took the better part of ten seconds to open on mobile data — which is exactly the connection a traveller researching Goechala or Sandakphu is on — and buried route details in PDFs. We rebuilt it in Next.js around the two things that decide a booking: how fast the page opens, and how clearly the itinerary reads.

The Problem

What was actually broken

The gaps in Glacier Treks & Adventure's setup before the project started — and what they were costing.

The site lost people before it opened

Full-size unoptimised photos on a shared host meant a near ten-second wait on 4G in the hills. Trekkers researching on the move simply went back to search results, so the traffic the brand already had was being spent on a loading spinner.

Itineraries were locked in PDFs

Day-wise routes, altitude, difficulty and inclusions sat inside downloadable files. Nobody compares two treks by downloading two PDFs on mobile — and search engines could not read that content either, so the pages that should have ranked for specific trek names had nothing to rank with.

Enquiries had no clear path

A single contact page served every trek. When an enquiry did arrive, it rarely said which trek or which month, so the team spent the first reply asking basics instead of answering.

Our Approach

How we worked through it

Each phase closed before the next one opened, so nothing was rebuilt twice.

  1. Measured the real problem

    Week 1

Field data over mobile connections, not just lab scores. Images were the bulk of it; render-blocking scripts and an unoptimised theme made up most of the rest. We also pulled the trek queries the site was already appearing for and found none of them landed on a page that answered the question.

  2. Structured the content around treks

    Week 2

One page per trek, with day-wise itinerary, altitude profile, difficulty, best season, inclusions and exclusions as real text on the page. The PDFs stayed available for people who want to carry them, but they stopped being the only source.

  3. Rebuilt in Next.js

    Week 3-6

Static generation for trek and route pages, next/image with responsive sizes and lazy loading for the photography, and a trek-aware enquiry form that carries the trek name, preferred month and group size into the submission.

  4. Launched and tuned

    Week 7 + ongoing

Search Console was watched through indexing, titles and descriptions were rewritten per trek page, and the enquiry form fields were trimmed after we saw where people dropped out.

The Solution

What we built and shipped

Pages that open on hill 4G

Statically generated pages, compressed responsive imagery and no render-blocking third-party scripts. The photography is still the hero of the site — it just no longer costs the visitor ten seconds.

One readable page per trek

Day-wise itinerary, altitude, grade, season and what is included, laid out as text a trekker can scan and a search engine can index. Comparing two treks is now scrolling, not downloading.

An enquiry that arrives ready to answer

The form sits on the trek page and carries the trek, month and group size with it, so the first reply from the team is an actual answer about dates and availability.

  • Faster load times
  • More booking requests
  • Improved engagement

The Impact

What changed for Glacier Treks & Adventure

The part that matters: what the business could do afterwards that it could not do before.

Traffic the brand already had started converting

Nothing was spent on more visitors first. Making the existing ones stay long enough to read an itinerary produced the increase in enquiries.

The team answers instead of interrogating

Because the enquiry names the trek and the month, the back-and-forth before a real conversation dropped by a message or two — which matters when a traveller is comparing three operators.

Trek pages now compete on their own names

Content that used to be locked in PDFs is indexable, so individual trek pages surface for their own searches rather than everything depending on the home page.

FAQ

Questions people ask about this project

What did Omm Digital Solution build for Glacier Treks & Adventure?

A Next.js trekking website with one page per trek — day-wise itinerary, altitude, difficulty, season and inclusions as on-page content — plus optimised photography, a trek-aware enquiry form, and analytics and Search Console set up to track it.

How much faster is the site?

Mobile load time went from roughly nine seconds to about 1.8, and the PageSpeed mobile score from the low 40s to 89. Most of the gain came from image optimisation and static generation, not from a bigger server.

Did the booking enquiries actually increase?

Enquiry form submissions rose about 46% in the four months after launch on broadly similar traffic. The change came from visitors staying long enough to read an itinerary, and from the enquiry form sitting on the trek page itself.

Can you do the same for another travel or tour operator?

Yes. The pattern — fast pages, itinerary content that is readable rather than downloadable, and an enquiry form that captures package and dates — transfers to any tour, pilgrimage or adventure operator. Package structure and seasonality differ, so content architecture is mapped per client.

    Global Technical Institute

Global Technical Institute ran admissions on paper files and scattered Excel sheets. Enquiries, counselling notes, documents and fee records lived in different places, so nobody could say where an applicant stood or how the institute was performing without hours of manual checking.

We built a custom CRM that holds the entire admission journey in one system — enquiry capture, counselling stages, document uploads and follow-up reminders — paired with a fast Next.js website. An advanced reporting layer sits on top, breaking down admissions, course-wise intake and fee collection. Staff stopped rebuilding the same data by hand, every applicant is traceable at a glance, and management can analyse admissions and revenue from live reports instead of guesswork.

    SEI Educational Trust

SEI Educational Trust needed a streamlined digital system to manage student inquiries and present their courses professionally. Their previous setup lacked speed, structure, and proper lead management.

A high-performance Next.js website improved navigation, course discovery, and the application flow. A custom CRM automated lead tracking, counseling stages, document uploads, and follow-up reminders. The integration reduced manual workload, increased response speed, and created a smooth end-to-end admission journey — resulting in more completed applications and improved enrollment efficiency.

Sales teams lose leads between platforms. Enquiries arrive from Facebook lead ads, JustDial and website forms, then get copied into spreadsheets — while quotations, invoices, meetings and follow-ups live in separate tools. Nobody can see the real pipeline, and companies running multiple brands or teams have no single place to compare performance.

Omm CRM pulls every lead in automatically through Facebook, JustDial and an API that connects any custom website form, then moves it through a visual sales pipeline. Client management, task management, meeting scheduling, quotation generation and invoice generation all sit in the same system, with multi-company and multi-team support so each unit works separately while management sees everything. An analytics dashboard tracks conversion, sales performance by team member and revenue trends in real time. No enquiry is lost in transit, quotes and invoices go out without switching tools, and owners can measure sales performance company by company and rep by rep from one dashboard instead of chasing weekly reports.

    • Leads captured automatically from every source
    • Quotations and invoices from one system
